A graphic trick: how to print an A3 preview using an A4 printer

(For example, if you want to print newspaper or poster previews and see them at 1:1 scale)

Use Adobe Acrobat Reader.

  • Open the PDF file in Acrobat Reader.
  • Set the print options to 100% (no scaling!).
  • Print the upper part in landscape orientation.
  • Rotate the page 180 degrees.
  • Print the lower part in landscape orientation.

Originally from a website focused on newspaper layout and printing I’ve used it a few times myself. :)
